Our Story

Our story began with a single question: can we help patients with stroke, aphasia, and related neurological conditions communicate and connect again?

We founded Brainsmart not just to build a device, but to answer a fundamental human need—the need to connect, to communicate, to control one's own destiny.

The answer became our mission: to develop a minimally invasive brain-computer interface (BCI), a platform designed not to intrude, but to interpret, a better path to the brain for broad use. We began developing a platform that prioritizes patient safety and surgical elegance from the start. Our focus is on creating a stable, high-fidelity interface that can be placed with minimal disruption to the patient's life.

We are engineers, scientists, and clinicians united by a shared objective: to advance BCI technology responsibly, from initial concept to clinical impact.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, we are strategically positioned to collaborate with leading centers across Asia and beyond. This allows us to gather robust clinical data and refine our technology efficiently, creating a solid foundation for our future work and global regulatory goals.
