About Brainsmart™
Brainsmart™ is a world-class pioneer in brain–computer interface (BCI) neurotherapeutics, developing minimally invasive neural interface devices that enable high-density, large-area brain signal decoding without craniotomy. Originating from the Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre (ABIC) – a joint initiative between HKU and Harvard University under the InnoHK Program – we combine world-class expertise in flexible electronics, semiconductor device engineering, and clinical neuroscience.
Our flagship technology, the Minimally Invasive μ-ECoG™ System, delivers epidural, flexible, MRI-compatible neural interfaces for applications in epilepsy surgery, stroke rehabilitation, speech decoding, and tumor treating fields (TTF). With successful large-animal validations and an ongoing FDA Q-Sub process, Brainsmart is now expanding to the U.S. (Silicon Valley) to build a world-leading team for engineering, clinical translation, and regulatory approval.

Responsibilities:

Develop and integrate μ-ECoG™ thin-film arrays, ASICs, amplifiers, and data- acquisition systems.

Collaborate with Shenzhen manufacturing teams for device packaging, reliability testing, and miniaturization.

Conduct bench and in-vivo validation with U.S. academic and clinical collaborators.

Contribute to design transfer and FDA verification and validation documentation.
Qualifications:

M.S./Ph.D. in Electrical, Biomedical, or Materials Engineering.

Expertise in mixed-signal ASIC design, flexible bioelectronics, or implantable systems.

Experience with neural recording front-ends, low-noise amplifiers, or hermetic packaging preferred.
